The Rwanda Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) aims to support the Government of Rwanda (GoR) on a range of priorities across the public sector policy-making agenda through the provision of short- and long-term technical expertise. Kivu’s role (as Technical Director and Quality Assurance Director) is to advise the programme on the political and policy context, engage the GoR to identify key policy priorities for the TAF to support, and help commission short-term and long-term technical assistance for direct government engagement.

The TAF is currently providing support to the Ministry of Trade and Industry to strengthen private sector-led growth; working with the Rwandan Governance Board to promote decentralisation; strengthening public sector accountability through reform of the ‘Imihigo’ performance management system; and working with the Gender Monitoring Office to promote the integration of gender equality across GoR.
