Director & Founder

Guy Lodge has worked in public policy for over 20 years and has a demonstrable track record of influencing policy and political processes in a wide range of countries.

Since founding Kivu International he has worked extensively in Africa and Asia, supporting local partners to strengthen their approach to policy analysis and advising on effective strategies for achieving change. He has substantial experience of supporting and advising centres of government (Presidential and Prime Minister’s offices) on policy change and strategy.

Previously Guy was Associate Director at the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR), a leading UK think tank, and Gwilym Gibbon Fellow at Nuffield College, University of Oxford. A governance and political reform specialist by background he has advised governments around the world on a wide range of policy and political issues. In 2012 he authored a major review of the UK civil service commissioned by the UK government. He has published widely and is the co-author with Sir Anthony Seldon of ‘Brown at 10’, a history of Gordon Brown’s premiership.
