Caesar Cheelo

Caesar is currently the Chief Economist and Team Leader for the Jobs Accelerator Project (JAP) commissioned by the Economic Advisor to the President and implemented by Kivu International. He has extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing complex research and policy processes, and delivering actionable solutions to governments, multilateral bodies, and private sector stakeholders.

Caesar also holds board positions at the Bank of Zambia and Rural Electrification Authority, is Managing Consultant at Equilibria Consulting Ltd, and a part-time Research Fellow at the Southern African Institute for Policy and Research. Caesar’s regional and continental impact is underpinned by his deep roots in Zambia’s economic development discourse and his strategic engagement with Africa’s policy think tanks and institutions. He has contributed extensively to academic and policy publications and combines academic rigor with practical development insight.
