Damian is Kivu’s Senior Policy and Strategy Advisor. He has high-level experience providing technical economic and policy advice both within and outside government.
At Kivu International, Damian is the lead on our work in Papua New Guinea
supporting local partner organisations seeking to improve and influence policy.
Prior to Kivu International, Damian was an ODI Fellow in the Ministry Foreign Affairs and External Trade in the Solomon Islands and a Trade Policy Expert at the Pacific Island Forum Secretariat in Suva, Fiji, where he contributed to the formulation of trade negotiating positions and strategies for 14 Pacific Island countries.
He has also worked as an Associate Director of Economic and Social Policy for the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) where he was responsible for migration, macro-economic and labour market policy.
